Recently this mercedes w205 c220 visited our workshop with the fault ADBLUE fluid level mot measurable. The customer advised the fluid level was full at the start of the journey and only half way into the short journey did the error message appear on the dash.
First of all we set to work plugging in and using mercedes star and xentry to diagnose what was wrong with the ADBLUE system. After recording and deleting the faults we had a good idea of the cause. We reset the ADBLUE and scr systems and checked for the most recent mercedes software update. The software update was not applicable for this particular vehicle so there would have been no point in applying this update to the vehicle.
We performed a full ADBLUE and SCR reset and relearn, after turning the ignition on and off the ADBLUE warning had disappeared and level was now full again. Visual inspection confirmed this was correct.
The local mercedes dealer wanted to charge the customer over £140 to diagnose this fault. After 30 minutes in our workshop using the exact same software as your mercedes dealership would we diagnosed and fixed the issue for much less whilst the customer waited.
