Mk2 Ford Fiesta welding

This mk2 ford fiesta came into our workshop on behalf of a local garage to have a patch welded to the both the nearside and and offside wing as corrosion had set in.

Chief welder jorden came to the rescue by cleaning up the damaged and corroded metal along with cutting and shaping a patch.

After the area was completely clean the area is treaded with and inhibitor then recleaned. Finally the sheet metal patch can be cut to a rough size of the damaged area.

Once the patch is cut and shaped this can then be welded to the vehicle. After the welding process the area is then left to cool and wiped down so the edges and surrounding area can be sealed with seam sealer to ensure the area is protected.

The vehicle is now ready for a fresh MOT we are looking forward to seeing this car back for a full health check.
