Todays task is to find the mystery brake assist fault using Mercedes star / Xentry diagnostics. This A class has been to two separate Mercedes dealers and returned for the fault to come back a few days later. As auto electrical and Mercedes diagnostic specialists we have been selected by the customer to put our expertise to the test.
The fault is intermittent and because of this is extremely hard to trace, both Mercedes main dealers that this vehicle had visited simply said “no fault at time of test”. To diagnose we will be using Mercedes Xentry the LOG the data from the ABS ECU in particular to see if we are able to see any immediate discrepancy in the data. The next step would be try and provoke the fault to happen so we are able to see what this car is trying to tell us.
