Today we used Volkswagen ODIS and GEKO Online coding / Programming to retro fit a highline dash (instrument cluster) in to our Volkswagen Caddy service van. The instrument cluster was used with a damaged surround so we swapped over our original surround (exactly the same, but you will be hard pushed to find just the surround / casing).
Once the new cluster was fitted we started up ODIS and logged into GEKO online to begin the coding and programming. Firstly we had to remove the component protection then we had to adapt and programme the immobiliser and Key data so the vehicle would start and then run as normal. After 45 mins we completed this, the last step was to perform mileage correction so as the cluster / dash mileage reflected the true mileage of the vehicle and engine management system. We extracted the mileage from the engine ECU to engine we had the exact mileage of the vehicle with no discrepancy. Once the mileage was programmed we were good to go and the retro fit was complete.
