Recently we had been set the task of diagnosing this Mercedes E Class W212 due to and AIRBAG & SRS fault message being displayed on the instrument cluster. We diagnosed the vehicle using Mercedes Star & Xentry initially and then ran further test plans to ensure the accuracy of the diagnosis.
The fault was diagnosed as a seatbelt pretensioner, After replacing with a used unit (at customer request) we then coded the unit (SCN Online) and cleared down the fault memory.
After a short test-drive no faults returned and the customer retuned to a fault free Mercedes, Saving almost 440 GBP on the mercedes main dealer prices quoted.
