Today we were called out to Felixstowe for an engine management light on a mercedes sprinter van in limp mode. The sprinter was a courier van delivering to Felixstowe with a long drive home back to Wales. We diagnosed the fault within 15 minutes and then started to solve the issue accordingly.
The sprinter is very common for a blocked DPF filter most of the time on sprinters the do not allow a static Regeneration however this time luckily for the driver we performed a full static Regeneration bringing the soot counter and dpf ash content to acceptable levels so as to remove limo mode.
For under £150 including a 8pm call out we had this van back up and on the road with a very happy driver on his way back to wales.
