The dreaded PCV valve fault on both mini and BMW can be a nightmare to diagnose, the best way to test a leak in the pipework or the valve itself is a pressure or a smoke test this will test if you have any leaks. Our pcv valve was a little easier on this mini as the the pcv valve cover was noticeably loose and would move with ease. The pcv valve cover should be sealed and tight.
To be in the safe side we sourced a second hand rocker cover and replaced all pcv pipes, the pcv valve itself and the rocker cover that contains the valve and the housing for the pcv pipe.
If you are having pcv valve faults with a mini or a BMW please feel free to get in touch and let’s see if we can save you money. Our bets say we can.
