Ford Transit coding with Ford IDs. Recently we had a garage / mechanic located in Diss, Norfolk that required diagnostics for a Ford Transit Recovery vehicle. We ran a full system test with Ford IDS to discover multiple errors for the fuel pump. It looked as if at some point the fuel pump have been replaced and the vehicle had not run for quite some time. Before seeking replacement parts we proceeded to clear the fault codes and retest to discover the original fault codes were masking and had uncoded the fuel injection pump. As we are with the vehicle we were able to reinitialise and re code the fuel pump to the car to insure this was not the issue, the customer agreed and we proceeded. Unfortunately this time the initialisation in re code did not work the customer is currently seeking a new fuel injection pump.
