Audi coding today in diss norfolk, the customer complained of harsh dsg gearbox changes when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Fully equipped with ODIS the main dealer diagnostic equipment we set to work. On arrival we performed a full fault read to see what we were dealing with. The next step was to log some data so the we were able to to see in real time what was happening via the data. After playing back the data we noticed and felt the delay in shifting. The delay or slower shift becomes a suprise the the rest of the engine management system and makes for a very jerky gear change. The solution is to reset adaptations and check the tcu software for the latest version. Agyer performing the gearbox adatations on this vehicle the problem was solved.
