This 2.0 TDCI Ford Mondeo was brought into us with running issues and limp mode by a local mechanic. The mondeo was diagnosed with a faulty EGR valve using ford IDS.
We used Ford IDS to diagnose the EGR Valve fault and perform an actuation test to one hundred percent confirm the fault was the EGR valve as this was an intermittent fault.
After speaking with our customer, we had been advised to disable the EGR Valve and blank the EGR inlet pipe so as to physically stop the flow of exhaust gas into the inlet.
We are able to disable / delete the EGR (exhaust gas recalculation valve) from most vehicle brands. In the case you suspect you have an EGR valve fault please feel free to get in touch or pop in and visit us.
We are based in between ipswich and lowestoft on the A12.
